Welcome to Snookie “D’s” Bio Page.

“D” has been a Bay Area musician since the mid ‘60’s. It all started when his father bought him a Kay flat top at the age of 10.   He learned by watching and listening to his older Brother, Darryl and Dad play.  In the '70's he expanded his talents to include the Keyboards.  He has played in Bay Area bands since the ‘60’s to include the well known Classics, Mad Hatters, and  Colusa Band.   The ‘80’s found him returning to “take care of business” in the Army (again).  Returning to music in the ‘90’s on his own recording 2 CD’s of his own original works. He is now partially settled in Utah but with roots still deeply entrenched in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Having flown below the radar for decades, he along with his fellow DC Riders are gaining notoriety.  With new material and in a progressive new band you’ll find them in the recording studio but always yearning to be out giggin’.   “ I know ya gotta record if ya want to get your music to the masses, but giggin’, that’s what it’s all about…D”

His style?  “D” says, “I ain’t got no style.   I play what I feel at that moment. ”  A song that may be put down on a CD today may sound similar to, or very different tomorrow.  It all depends on who he’s playing with,  and the general mood of the evening but, it won’t ever be dull and without excitement.  He can lay down dirty old blues, Texas influenced blues, blues rock, and some very funky blues but, they’re all the blues.

Just double click on Equipment if you'd like a list of equipment that he performs and records with but his main Axes and Amp’s are the Custom Fender Stratocaster and Fender  Tele Thinline linked to a Fender Super Reverb or Fender Deluxe Tweed..

"A special thanks to those that have stood behind me and supported me in my musical endeavors.  You know who you are. D "
